Mother’s Day 2021 is Sunday, May 9th. That’s less than 2 weeks away! Now is the time to start shopping for the perfect gift. I’m not even going to lie, buying Mother’s Day gifts is so hard for me. I always worry that my mom won’t like what I get. No two women are alike so obviously no two moms are alike. How do I know whether to get a gift that’s functional or a splurge? Should I get beauty products or something she’ll use for the home? Of course, I could always ask my mom what she wants. But where’s the fun in that?

What makes this post extra special is that I recruited my own mama to do a photoshoot for it! Since I moved out, my mom and I don’t spend a ton of time together. Any time we can get together, just the two of us, it’s a blessing. My mother’s mom (my grandmi) is no longer with us here on earth. Whenever my mom and I are together, we tend to talk about her a lot. We share our favorite memories and how much we miss her baking. The older I get, the more my mom shares life lessons she learned from her mother. Us spending time together while doing something my grandmi loved is our way of keeping her legacy alive.
